Health Tracking

I've been using an Apple Watch 6 for a few years now. However, it cannot check for blood pressure. For that, I tend to use the portable blood pressure monitors commonly found in some homes. Unfortunately, that is not convenient as you won't be carrying it around wherever you go.

I think I've found the solution - Huawei Watch D2. It was available for pre-order from 19 Nov 2024. I bought it online for RM1,899 and received it on 26 Nov 2024, together with some freebies worth RM1,276 - wireless earbuds, weighing scale, a spare wristband, and one-year additional warranty!

The Huawei Watch D2 is the world's first smart watch featuring Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM), meaning it can do 24-hour auto-monitoring anytime, to see where your BP has been and where it's trending, even while you're asleep. It does this in a similar fashion of a normal BP machine as it has a thin inflatable airbag around the wristband that is used to measure your blood pressure.

It can monitor six major systems, including the cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, endocrine, reproductive, and muscular health systems. For example, it can do Beat-by-Beat ECG analysis, sleep monitoring, not to mention the standard heart rate, stress level, skin temperature, SpO2 , and has 80+ exercise modes.

Apart from these amazing capabilities, it also performs your usual smart watch functions, and pairs to my iPhone for updating health readings, displaying message notifications, etc.

Plus, it's so slim and light. Pretty well designed too.

Since it came with a Huawei Scale 3 weighing machine, it doesn't just measure your weight, but also provides a detailed body composition analysis, such as BMI, body fat rate, etc.

Both the health readings from the watch and the scale are consolidated into the Huawei Health app that is on my iPhone which enables comprehensive statistics and reporting.

Amazing technology! You can see more pictures here.
